THE DRAGON HORSE

The Dragon Horse, Chi Lin, is a mythical creature similar to the Unicorn.  It has the body of a horse and the head of a dragon, with the scales of a carp. The legend of Chi Lin is associated to the mythical Chuan Chung Li, who led the eight fabled Immortals of China. After becoming immortal in the 7th Century, the legend tells that Chuan Chung Li occasionally visited the earthly realms riding the magnificent Dragon Horse. Chuan Chung Li was said to possess the wisdom of the ages and extended blessings to childless couples. The Dragon Horse was said to have inherited these attributes.

The mythical Chi Lin symbolizes success, prosperity, and fertility. It is the ideal Feng Shui symbol for those looking for a change in career path. Place one Chi Lin symbol at your work desk in order to attract good fortune. For couples looking to have a child, place the beneficial Chi Lin in the bedroom.

The ideal place for Chi Lin is the Northwest area of the house or office. This part of the house corresponds to helpful people. Chi Lin, being one of your helping angels, the Northwest is certainly the place where it would be the most beneficial.

Often the Dragon horse symbol comes in pairs—a male and a female. The male possesses a horn while the female is hornless. When thus paired, the Chi Lin symbol represents the family and fertility. This symbol is ideal for couples who wish to increase the family or for families who have troubles between their members.
